In lieu of our traditional December Members’ Show, we are dedicating the entire month to a special sale. This sale has been well publicized and is designed to benefit both the gallery and, most importantly, you. This is your chance to monetize older inventory, clear out valuable studio space, and reach new buyers looking for affordable, original Christmas gifts.
The C Note Concept
The premise of the C Note Show is simple: Every single piece of art will be priced at $100 (a “C Note”). This accessible price point is a huge draw for holiday shoppers, first-time collectors, and interior decorators.
We encourage you to use this opportunity to submit work that has been stockpiled, is older, or is simply ready to find a new home. The gallery’s usual limitations of “artwork created in the past 5 years” and “No displaying of Digital Artwork and Photography” will be suspended for this show. There is no limitation on the age of the artwork you submit. Think of this as a great way to refresh your studio inventory for the new year! Photography and prints of digitally created pieces are welcome.
Original Artwork Requirement
To ensure fairness and uphold FAA exhibition standards, no class pieces are allowed. Artworks created in workshops, classes, guided demonstrations, or step-by-step lessons are not considered original and are not eligible for entry in any shows or for awards. All submitted pieces must be independently conceived, composed, and created by the artist. This policy protects the integrity of our exhibitions and celebrates the unique creative voice of every FAA member.
Gallery Sitting
All artists showing in December must meet the requirement of gallery sitting one session during the month of December.
Submission Rules & Logistics
- This is a MEMBERS ONLY show
- Submission Limit: Each artist may submit a maximum of 4 pieces.
- Pricing: All submitted pieces must be priced at $100.
- Gallery Donation: The 20% gallery donation is waived for this show only. Instead, we ask that you consider a year end donation to support the gallery.

Sales & Replenishment Process (Critical)
Due to the fast-paced nature of this sale, we have a specific process to ensure smooth transactions and maintain the integrity of the display:
- Cash-Only Sales: All sales are CASH ONLY.
- Immediate Takeaway: The purchaser is permitted to take the art off the wall immediately upon payment.
- Replenishment: The gallery sitter will collect the $100 and contact the artist immediately. The artist will need to come to the gallery within 48 hours to retrieve their $80 payment and bring in a replacement piece to fill the spot.
- Spot Management: If an artist is unable to provide a replacement painting within the 48-hour window, another artist will be given the opportunity to hang a piece in that highly visible spot.
