Sherma Lewis

I was introduced to watercolor in junior high school, and I loved the way the pigment moved with water in ways I could never do on my own. But it was not until 2019, after a desk-job lay off, that I followed a passion to draw and paint. While watercolor is my first love, I experiment with other media, such as acrylics, pen and ink, pastels, gouache and colored pencils. My favorite old-master artists include Vincent Van Gogh for his expressive style and Andrew Wyeth for his tonalist approach and depictions of ordinary things.
